Shabad: Har Raam Raam Raam Raamaa ....

Gauree Maajh, Fifth Mehl:(218-9) Bani Dhan Guru Sree Arjun Dev Maharaj

Shabad: Har Raam Raam Raam Raamaa ....

By meditating upon that Har, as Raam, Raam, Raam.... you become like Him, you become one with Him, you get dissolved in Him(Raama).

Mil saaDhoo sang uDhaar ho-ay,

mukh oojal darbaar.

Joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, one is saved,

and one's face becomes radiant in the Court of the Lord.

Naanak ubray Naam jap,

dar sachai saabaas.

Nanak is saved, chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord; in the True Court, he is cheered and applauded.

In the upper 2 lines from the Bani or Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, we can se the summary of Gurmat.

And what is that summary?

Well, it is very clear, as the following three points are highlighted in this Shabad, and if attention paid, also in the whole of Guru Granth Sahib:

Nº1) The one Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh, as the goal of each and every soul.

Nº2) Gurmukhs, Sant Janas or Sadh Janas, are necessary as, only in their company we learn and practice the true devotion, eliminate our haume or ego, and get the Gurparsad, or Bhed or Jugtee of Nam.

and nº 3) The path of Nam Simran alone, as the way to reach Wahiguru Akal Purukh

Following these simple teachings of our Guru Sahibans alone, are we entitled to call ourselves Gursikhs ... not otherwise.
